Precipitation Reactions
Precipitation reactions involve the formation of insoluble solid compounds from the reaction of soluble reactants. The rules for solubility are common items to memorize and use to determine which of the predicted products will be insoluble and form upon mixture of the reactants.
Solubility rules - you should memorize these rules and be able to apply them to determining if certain compounds are soluble or insoluble. Soluble compounds will completely dissolve in solution, where as insoluble compounds will basically not dissolve at all.
