In AP Physics I, students were introduced to the concept of Drag and how it affects the motion of an object moving through a fluid. Students also witnessed s demonstration of terminal velocity when a plastic marble fell through a column of water. The graphs of acceleration, velocity and position vs time for an object falling through a fluid were also developed using Newton's laws.
In Academy Physics I/C Mechanics, students watched a video on Drag, differential equations and their solution by separation of variables that they will encounter on the C exam. They also were given a set of problems on Drag.
In AP Chemistry, students continued to study and predict molecular geometry for ions and molecules using VSEPR model to determine the geometry around the central atom.
